This is a very rare card by the S. Hildesheimer & Co. who
was one of the very few companies
that produced cards depicting blacks.
S. Hildesheimer & Co.
Siegmund Hildesheimer & Co., with publishing houses in Manchester and
London, England printed cards from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's under
several names. The company was reformed into partnerships more than
once (we'll be posting more information on the partnerships and
examples soon).

unusual holiday cards, these three
which are a Christmas and New Year's Series.
